I'm very happy to announce a very special event.
Oct. 20th and 21st, this two day workshop will be taught by Linda from Lost Coast Rubber Stamps. $75 Fee includes your journal.
Here's what Linda has to say about this workshop...
Want to do a Visual Journal, but that white sheet of paper is too intimidating? We have the class for you!!
First, we'll start with a journal with no, yup, NO white pages. Everyone gets this very durable, cool journal of walls. And then we'll spend the day being creative together. This is not a class geared toward inner thoughts -- we're really focusing of the visual aspect -- but if you want to be a muse in your journal, that's fine with me....it's just not what I do. I'll have a bunch of my favorite quotes, my favorite coloring tools and glues, sheets of faces and words, and my own outrageous collection of ephemera for everyone to use.
We'll play with alphabet stamps, pockets to hold ephemera, tip-ins to add pages to your journal, different ways to apply color, some ideas about making your handwriting look like art, and some fun exercises to get your creative juices going. Don't know how to do any of this?? No worries! I'll show you!!
Bring: The usual class kit -- cutting mat, exacto knife, scissors, pencil, black fine-line marker. Also, bring some of your favorite stamps and stamp pads, ephemera, coloring tools, and glue of choice. I'll bring some stuff, too, so don't worry if you don't have something. Bring along some of your own artwork that we can incorporate into your journal.
For those of you who haven't met Linda at Adventures in Stamping, Linda is a graphic designer/artisan living in Spokane, Washington. She has been involved with graphic arts for too many years to count. She owns Lost Coast Designs, a rubber stamp company for the non-cute stamper. In her free time, she plays guitar and knits socks. She is a voracious collector of "found objects". Her work has been seen in Summerset Studio, Art Dolls, RMS, and other crafting publications.

She travels from Medina near Lodi and we are honored to have her as an instructor at the shop. This month Kay has designed two awesome cards for us (as usual).

You all know I'm a huge fan of Bev Anderson, formerly an employee of Stamplistic in Amherst. Bev now represents a variety of companies at trade shows and travels teaching classes for them.
I'm lucky to have Bev coming to Creative Creations Aug. 27th for 2 classes. 10:30 or 2:30. You'll learn how to use brass stencils with colored metals and a variety of tools, and she'll instruct us how to use our stencils in our cuttlebug machines or big shots and not bend them.
Check out the terrific samples Bev sent.

I read alot of blogs!
One of the blogs that I follow has a terrific idea for organizing your sentiments that come in sets. How many times do we forget to look for a sentiment in our stamp sets?
You can find Gretchen's idea here: http://gretchenbarron.typepad.com/my_weblog/2010/04/never-again-at-a-loss-for-words.html
